MindBending AV: Kinetic Audio Installations
Kinetic audio installations feature visual and sonic motion to create a unique audio and sensory experience for the viewer. To create this hybrid experience of noise and visual stimulus, artists can use a variety of different techniques ranging from robotic technology to simple signal processing. However, all of these installations depend on algorithms to move between the visual and the sonic in a coherent way. The definition of a kinetic audio installation is actually quite loose.
