The advancement of new technologies is a good thing for the most part. The downside of the continuing growth is that too many platforms and protocols can slow the pace of technology adoption.
Companies like Web Mountain Technologies can’t solve all the multiplatform/protocol problems that exist, but it can provide some bridge-type product solutions.
The company’s newly updated UPB Remote Universal Controller (RUC-01) features new firmware that enables the product to support protocols and products such as Z-Wave, X-10 and Insteon to control motorized window treatment units, thermostats and IP cameras. Web Mountain says the firmware also includes provisions for web-enabled control with 40 separate control buttons.
The RUC-01 can be used for control and automation systems in residential and commercial installation markets.
