Vaddio is improving on its ClearVIEW HD-USB PTZ camera. The company just announced a free upgrade that will allow users to control the camera from any device with a web browser.

From almost any computer, mobile device or tablet, users can adjust pan, tilt, zoom and home controls, as well as adjust pan, tilt, zoom and speed controls. Other features allow users to switch video sources and store and recall six camera presets.

Those with administrator privileges can also control passwords, change the IP address, access upgrades, and view diagnostics. That IP address will be displayed on-screen out of the composite, analog component (YPbPr) and the USB video output.

“When we launched our EasyUSB camera systems we knew that our customers would demand a more sophisticated control approach than a traditional IR Remote Control,” explains Vaddio CEO, Rob Sheeley. “By connecting to the camera’s Ethernet port, users can now browse to the embedded web server built into the camera and have complete control of the camera by using the preconfigured web page user control panel.”

The Version 1.0.1 software update is free, and available now on the web.
