Swissôtel Chicago chooses the ELAN g! Entertainment and Control system interface for A/V/L and environmental control. With the ELAN g! system, Swissôtel Chicago now features one-touch control in five meeting rooms, five ballrooms, the lobby, bar, reception area, media lounge and main office, providing easy access control for both staff and guests.
Via ELAN touchscreens and smart device access with the ELAN g!Mobile app, users can control more than 100 in-ceiling speakers, a 60-inch TV at the hotel bar and two 60-inch TV’s in the hotel media lounge. Using the hotel’s IP backbone, staff and guests can use their tablets, iPhones, TV’s, iPod Touch’s and netbooks to control any of these automated sectors from any location on the globe — providing they have Internet access.
The ELAN g! system allows for the hotel staff to closely monitor high-consumption systems like lighting and climate through detailed history archives, while at the same time offering guests the ability to access audio and video content for presentations or leisure in the pre-designated environments. Also, ELAN g! is designed to allow other integrated devices to be added simply and without disrupting the system.
Alongside mobile control, the conference rooms and media lounge are pre-fitted with HDMI input wall plates so that guests can hook up their HDMI-compatible devices for even more options for content sharing.
