Take a picture, it’ll last longer! It could also save your business, property or any other space that could use a little surveillance. JVC Professional Products Company just announced three new Full HD IP day/night V.Networks security cameras, designed to deliver images under a variety of conditions.
Whether it’s low light or during the day, each of the new cameras promises exceptional color reproduction and multi-codec support, including M-JPEG, MPEG-4, and H.264 (High Profile).
“When customers hear H.264, they presume significant storage and bandwidth efficiencies. However, many security camera manufacturers use H.264 Baseline or Main Profile, which don’t really deliver the expected savings,” explained Ian Scott, vice president, JVC Security Division. “These new JVC cameras support H.264 High Profile, which deliver excellent results while using significantly less bandwidth.”
The VN-T216VPRU features a vandal-proof outdoor dome, with True Day/Night performance and built-in IR LEDs that can scan up to 50 feet. The VN-T216U is a vandal-resistant indoor mini dome, while the VN-T16U is an indoor box camera.
Each of the three new cameras has a 1/2.7-inch CMOS imager for a full 1080p HD 2.2MP at up to 30fps. Other features include two-way audio, power over Ethernet (PoE), SD card recording, motion detection, and back light compensation. Both the VN-T216VPRU and VN-T216U feature a 3mm-9mm lens, while lenses for the VN-T16U are sold separately (CS mount).
JVC is currently showing off the VN-T216VPRU, the VN-T216U and the VN-T16U at ISC West in Las Vegas, Nevada. All three are expected to ship this month with prices listed at $599, $550 and $399, respectively.
