In software-As-a-Service, important investments were made to develop the company’s cloud-based portfolio, mainly at the enterprise and operations levels. At the enterprise level, the company has launched Resource Advisor and the online energy and sustainability management portal based on technology that the company obtained when it bought Summit Energy.
At the operation level, Schneider Electric initiated Energy Operation wherein they use technology acquired through its Vizelia acquisition. Resource Advisor is a Web-based management tool for directors and executives working in energy, finance, purchasing and sustainability. The application saves verified energy carbon cost and usage data accumulated from numerous sources. Energy Operation has custom-made energy data reporting, analytics and optimization on multiple sites.
EcoStruxure Web Services:
This new service joins all the software applications together and allows cross-application communication within the StruxureWare porftolio. This common language for data exchange is used by each of the StruxureWare applications. There is a wide range of benefits, from the ability to gather data from different applications to the increased speed of commissioning to the accuracy of data sets.
StruxureWare will be useful for companies looking to handle their global carbon footprint, assess and control their energy spend, or add new tools to identify energy efficiency startups.
