It’s hard to image encouraging visitors to touch that pricey display. However, NEC Display Solutions is extending the offer. In fact, they are making it almost impossible to keep away.

The company just announced the Touch-Integrated V Series, a new line of commercial-grade panels and components with touchscreen capabilities.  At launch, the V Series will include the 46-inch V462-TM and the 65-inch V651-TM.

Both displays offer digital signage users interactive capabilities with a full HD resolution. Other features include a double-sided, anti-reflective glass coating, built-in 10-watt speakers, and an integrated, low-profile, 4-camera optical-imaging technology that allows for up to six simultaneous touches.

Each display has connectivity with digital loop through DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI-D, as well as networking capabilities via RS-232C, RJ-45, IR remote and DDC/CI inputs. A built-in expansion slot also allows for seamless integration of Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) devices or NEC accessories.

“These touch-integrated models exemplify our commitment to the digital signage market and will build on the rapidly growing interactive display market,” said Rachel Karnani, NEC’s product manager for large screen displays. “The Touch-Integrated V Series fits in the heart of NEC’s portfolio, providing a cost-effective solution for customers requiring a user-friendly product that is simple to install.”

The V462-TM and V651-TM will start selling this month for $2,599 and $7,999, respectively. Each model comes with a 3-year limited parts and labor warranty, which includes the backlight.
