Adding a little technology into window treatments isn’t just about opening and closing the blinds at a certain time of day. It can actually be a beautiful thing. It can be something like the Lutron Coulisse Collection. 

Lutron Electronics just announced its collaboration with Coulisse, a worldwide supplier of window decor. The upcoming Lutron Coulisse Collection will include more than 700 types of high-fashion fabrics and materials for roller shades and honeycomb shades, as well as innovative pleated fabrics and a variety of materials for Venetian blinds.

The company is presenting the collection as four “books,” each of which can convey a certain look and atmosphere. The Elegance book is based on classical fashion patterns, but with a contemporary and sophisticated look in interior design. The Bold book is expressive fashion design for roller shade fabrics. The Tranquil book creates a more natural atmosphere, via natural and linen-look fabrics. And finally, the Impact book will have a variety of materials for 2-inch Venetian blinds, including leather, wood and metallic colors, as well as honeycomb fabrics and the new extra-wide XL Pleat fabrics.

Lutron is making a Design Kit available to designers and architects. This fabric-sampling tool allows for easy integration into any color scheme or design plans. Check out Lutron’s website for more information on obtaining a Design Kit.

Otherwise, the company plans to launch the Lutron Coulisse Collection as an exclusive to the Lutron dealer network sometime in early 2013.
