New switchers from AMX are available from dealers. The Enova DGX 16 and the Enova DGX 32 digital media switchers offer an high-definition media interface (HDMI)/high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) solution that can scale to any resolution without being limited to a pre-determined list of resolutions, the Richard, Texas-based company states.

The switchers offer AMX SmartScale, InstaGate Pro and a building NetLink control.

SmartScale is a technology that independently responds to each display’s extended display identification data (EDID) information and scales video to optimal parameters without manual setup, AMX says.

InstaGate Pro, also on-board the switchers, provides plug-and-play HDCP integration.

The NetLink Controller is embedded for simple network installation. The Enova DGX has an embedded Ethernet switch and support for AMX DXLink, which allows connected A/V devices to be managed centrally over the same cable to distribute media, the company states.

The initial Enova DGX shipment includes the DGX 16 and 32 Switcher enclosures, the DGX input and output boards for HDMI and digital video interface (DVI), plus the audio insert/extract expansion boards.

Further enhancements to the DGX 16 and 32 are on schedule to deliver in the coming months, including DXLink input and output boards as well as fiber boards.
